Where can I find Fraser River Sturgeon?

Interestingly, sturgeon inhabit all depths of the river from the big deep runs to areas that may only be 8-10ft. in depth, depending on the time of year and the availability of food. Sometimes they will hold in behind drop offs or ledges waiting for their next meal to come to them. When you hook a fish in the shallows they tend to make a big run away from the boat, usually punctuated with some impressive tail walking! In the deeper waters it is not uncommon for them to head straight up and take a big jump, clearing the water completely, then the fish will usually ‘slug it out’ in the depths.
