Where do Sturgeon feed? The mouth and body structure of Sturgeon make them ideal bottom feeders. They have extremely poor eyesight, but exceptional senses of taste and smell which they rely on to track down sustenance. Lacking teeth, they have an extendable mouth which allows them to suck up their meal. While they often wait for the current to bring their meal to them, they also actively seek out food and will travel a fair distance to find the bait.
